This is a beautiful old hotel with wooden floors and a great ambiance. Rooms are a bit worn but comfortable. We had a one bedroom suite which was great, but our view was of a concrete wall. Actually this protected us from the full heat of the day and the street noise at night. Those with a city view used ear plugs and a mask to keep out the flickering lights. The food for breakfast was very good and the bar drinks and food items also were very good. There is a pool on the 23rd floor which is both indoor and outdoor and also has a bar. The fitness center is on this floor and quite adequate. We were within walking distance of the pedestrian streets with shops and restaurants, the opera house and the obelisk. A wonderful stay. Staff were very professional and helpful.
