My 3 nights stay at the La Cantera Lodge was delightful. Sitting by the large pool and relaxing in the hammock on my private deck were highlights. The room is large, comfortable and recently updated. The office staff and management were super helpful & friendly with better-than-typical English skills. Even the restaurant is quite good which is very important since in-town restaurants are expensive & mediocre (in my limited exposure). I would not have expected such a reasonably priced & quality restaurant in a small mid-range hotel as this. Puerto Iguazu, Argentina is full of hotels catering to short visits for tourists to the nearby Falls. La Cantera Lodge is one of about a dozen similar hotels just on this one stretch of road carved through re-growth forests on the edge of town. The 'jungle rooms' face outward to the forest, but don't be mislead, there are more buildings and/or roads just a few meters through the trees. All these advertised jungle lodges are not removed from road noise.
